Participation in the regional conference “Western Balkans European Social Survey Conference for Data-Driven Advocacy”

A regional conference on data-driven advocacy was held in Durres, Albania, in the period  9-12 December. This conference was organized by the SCiDEV Center from Albania and the WBESS network. On behalf of CREDI, as a member of WBESS network, the conference was attended by Ilma Kurtović, Coordinator of the CREDI’s  Survey Unit.
The purpose of this event was to exchange experiences and practices for data-driven advocacy and to participate in policy-making in the region based on European Social Research (ESS) data.
At the conference, WBESS members discussed and worked on writing a policy brief to promote advocacy and decision-making in the Western Balkans. Through collaborative work, network members identified key challenges in these processes and made recommendations for researchers, civil society and policy-makers on the use of high-quality research data such as the European Social Survey (ESS).
